Ok so I was reading my patriarchal blessing, as I always do here and there. Each time I read my blessing, I always take away something, or something pops out a lil more than something else everytime I study it. So these past few times I've read it, I got the same feeling about what I need to be doing in my LIFE! I'll share a lil part of my blessing with you: "Map out and plan your life, so that you will know what you want to do and become." This little part on my blessing has been sticking to me like glue! I go over and over it in my mind. So I decided that I needed to map out my life. I decided to sit alone one day and listen to my heart. I sat there thinking what am I good at, what are my strengths, what do I want to become?...all these questions, and then my AHA moment....NURSING! I mean actually it really isn't aha because I've known since I was in 9th grade that I wanted to be a nurse. I loved helping others, I love children...and I decided I want to become a Pediatric/Maternity Nurse! I KNOW I would love to see new life being brought into this world day in and day out. I know I would enjoy nursing the new mothers back to health. It is my passion, it is my Strength, and I know I would love it!
So I thought, ok now that I know what I want to become...how do I do it?? I use to be in a program a while back called the Y.E.S (youth employ-ability services) program. It is a program that helps ages 18-24 get on track with school, employment, self-esteem etc. You have to qualify income wise (be poor) lol...to be on this program. Anyways I didn't really do much while I was on it. You could say life just got the best of us, and now I soo wish I would've taken advantage of all the opportunities I had. Looking forward...I called one of the case managers in hopes he would still remember me. Sure enough he did and told me to come in and talk to him. So I told him my thoughts and he directed me to IHC Murray hospital. He told me to apply there so that they could pay for me to go to Nursing school. He then perfected my resume, he had me apply at some jobs that offer full bennies but are part time, he is keeping in contact with me to see if IHC gives me an interview! I am sooo NERVOUS, and really really excited to take on this CHALLENGE! I know this will be really really tough, but I am ready for a change. I am so grateful to the YES program for helping me out, even tho I'm old and not on the program anymore. Please pray for me, and give me some advice if you have any on school, work, and home life! I hope this sacrifice will pay off for our family in the future! :)
This will be my life! hahaha
