Christmas

So this Christmas was a good one. I'm blessed to have the knowledge of what Christmas is really all about, and luckily we have instilled that in our children. It's not about getting gifts, it's about giving a gift of yourself which is service, a smile, a laugh, a listening ear, a carol or two. Christmas is about Christ and his birth, the remembrance of humility & gratefulness, as he was born in such a humble stable. This year I felt something I haven't felt and it was the feeling of what we had to give wasn't enough. It made n still makes me sad to know that people r getting caught up in the "gifts" rather than the "thought". I am truly grateful for all that I have, all that we are blessed with (healthy children, roof over our heads, working vehicle, job) so when we receive a gift on Christmas it means a lot to me, I don't even care what it is, I'm thankful of the thought..my hope for the years to come is for us ALL to remember the reason for the season~ & to not get caught up in the gifts, but to get caught up in serving others. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas, and hope for a great New Year to u all :) I know I'm ready for a New Year, my goal is focusing and reeling in on just my lil family. & of course LOSE WEIGHT like every year lmbo!!
