My lil sister in law Nancy received her mission call yesterday in the mail. She called me and told me to come over around 8ish so that she could open it up with all the family there. So Pulu got off work at 8pm..and I went to go pick him up. We got there and a few mins later her grandpa Kolo opened up her letter, took it out and she stood up and was quivering while reading her letter from the Prophet Thomas S. Monson. It was so heart melting to see my little sis open up her mission call, she was so nervous/excited/overwhelmed/humbled, and I could tell all this just by hearing her read, Dear Sister Otukolo you have been called to serve in the NY, NY North Mission and to report to the MTC Dec 28th! Her eyes were filled with tears, my eyes were filled with tears, everyones eyes were filled with tears! Then screams of joy across the room. Not only was all her family n extended family there, she had tons of friends, and people from her ward...it was amazing to see all the love and support. I don't think she thought so many people were gonna be there, it just goes to show how humble this girl is. I am so proud of her, and grateful for the wonderful example she is setting for my children. We all will miss her sooo much, but we know the Lord has a greater plan for her to fulfill for the people in NY! It's funny cause she knew she was going to NY, I remember asking her where did she think she was going to go, and she said "I dunno, I would like to go to NY." hahah be careful what you ask for! So the CONCRETE JUNGLE it is...good thing you're a monkey and you'll fit right in Nance! hahaha jk, see it's these kinda comments that I make to you that I'll miss most! I love you SISTER OTUKOLO! Return with Honor, I know ya will :)
